I'm not seeing it either - running a MacBookPro with 10.6.2.

The Command + Option 'info' works perfectly like you explain.

On my regular Mac partition in the 'Other' System Preferences I have 'AutoPairs v3.0.3', Default Folder X v4.3.3', 'FinderPop v2.2.4b2', 'Flip4Mac WMV v2.3.0.14', iClock Pro v1.00rc4', 'Intego NetUpdate v10.5', 'Smart Scroll v3.4', 'Sounds4Fun v1.0.3', 'Typeit4Me v4.2', and 'Visage v2.4.2' installed.

I figured out what was causing the problem, if I turn off the 'Sounds4Fun v1.0.3' the problem goes away. So I would guess FinderPop and Sounds4Fun are interacting.

Hi :

Brilliant !
Really great to have FP at the right finger again !

There seems to be some interference with some keyboard shortcuts that I use (through iKey).
For instance i use ctrl-alt-cmd-M to get new mail and activate Mail.app. With FP installed, it opens
FP's recent application menu. This happens often, but not always.
I couldn't find ctrl-alt-cmd-M as a kb shortcut in FP ?
Thanks anyway,
Alain

Hmm, maybe I'm doing something silly capturing keystrokes... I'll have a look at this code tonight after work.
In any event, I found a couple of bugs so there'll definitely be a new beta soon...

Turly...

I hope you not in the 'Floods devastate UK Lake District, much of Ireland' article I read.

Well I mostly live in Barcelona now, but my home town of Cork (where I live the rest of the time) definitely got badly hit. Someone put together a youtube vid of some pics:

Many of the photos she used were taken from various posts here:

The problem stems from the fact that the city centre of Cork is basically built on a marsh - indeed the very name comes from the Irish word for 'swamp'. See this old map of Cork, ostensibly dating from 1545, and note the number of occurrences of the word 'marsh'... all of which is now built over. And most of which is today underwater... :(

Turly - Thanks for keeping us all up-to-date! I haven't the testicular fortitude to try the beta, but am waiting for an official release....and can't wait!

Good on you for putting so much time and effort into it - appreciate it very much!

Do you mean: "Finder is the only 64 bit app with CMS" so far?

That's correct - the Finder is currently the only 64-bit app where contextual menus are 'enhanced' by FinderPop.
All apps, 64-bit and 32-bit, can do the click-in-unused-menubar bit.
All 32-bit apps can have their contextual menus enhanced by FP.

When I do the click-in-unused-menubar bit lots of times nothing happens. Works in Finder, Mail, & iTunes, not in Safari, FileMaker Pro, or Parallels.

It's good to hear you're keeping your head above water Turly ;)

Sadly, FP 2.2.4b2 doesn't work for me (and I feel a bit crippled without it.)

Non-Apple PrefPanes installed:

A Better Finder Rename
Logitech Control Center
FinderPop
FolderGlance (disabled)
iStat Menus
MenuMeters
Perian
Secrets

Also two login apps w/menulets: Meteorologist & Dropbox.

Current versions of all.

In my desperation to find an interim substitute for FP I installed FolderGlance and noticed that when it's activated FP works :?:
