Modifier key to change sorting of items in folder listing

Postby Cowicide » 26 Apr 2012, 21:23

There's many times within the same folder I prefer to either sort "Alphabetically" or by "Modification Date" depending on what I'm looking for within it.

For example, I click'n'hold on a folder to see its contents that I have set the "Sort Items in FP Menus" in the prefpane to "Alphabetically", then it of course sorts that way. But, I'd love it if I held down the "M" key (or something) and then the same folder will sort by modification date if I click'n'hold on it again that way.

Maybe within the fp-info file this could be done? Something like "M-sort-order-mod-date" , "A-sort-order-alpha" ? Or if this could be done on the fly while the contents of the folder are listed, my head would explode. :D
